Review:
Disappointing, I hope more from the anime that discusses a novelist. Unfortunately this anime doesn't focus at all on the novel he made, but the life between him, his past, and the cat he picked up at his parents' funeral. The storyline is very flat and lots of uninteresting characters that are easily forgotten. What I want to look for from this anime is actually how he fulfills his own living expenses from writing novels. Live from zero to hero. Like what was done in several other anime such as Kiriyama Rei (3-Gatsu no Lion) who decided his whole life playing Shogi to separate himself from the person who cared for him, Anzu (Hinamatsuri) who learned how to make money from the smallest thing, the Kauruko Moeta (Comic Girls) continued to fight even though his work was rejected many times, Handa Seishuu (Barakamon), Ashirogi Mutou (Bakuman), Koharu Yoshino (Sakura Quest), Miyamori Aoi (Shirobako), and many more inspirational figures in anime that can provide strong motivation in living life. Really the potential is wasted.
