Synopsis:
Disas, a race of dangerous monsters from other worlds came attacking the earth. From that moment on, one by one the selected girls appeared who were suddenly awarded the power of Mahou Shoujo. A government agency was formed containing Mahou Shoujo in an effort to deal with the monsters disas. Asuka Otori, Mahou Shoujo, who decided to retire from the government agency, tried to live a normal life so that he would not be involved in the battle again. But more dangerous disasions have emerged and make Asuka have to rejoin old members to fight the threat. A new problem arises when the chosen girls who gain the power of Mahou Shoujo actually abuse the power to commit evil deeds.
Visual:
Some of the visuals that I can catch from this anime are the lines drawn on the characters that look very rough. Movement 2D from background-chara is not very smooth as it lacks frames, so they actually use a lot of 3D to cover it up. Staff who work on the background are much better than the staff who draw the main frame. Between content and background, it would be better to balance each other.
Story:
Even so, action anime like Boku no Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100 can prove that good visuals aren't everything. A good story that is able to attract attention and curiosity of others is what is everything. So what is the story of this anime? Check out the following review. If from the beginning of this anime you really want to present a battle between Mahou Shoujo vs. Disas, then making a disas at least has intelligence. Not a stupid creature that can only be used as a practice doll for the mahou shoujo, but can also be an opponent who can provide balanced resistance.
Then the portion of adults in this anime in my opinion is mostly. So that I can say that Mahou Shoujo in this anime is only a government dog owned by adults who are only ordinary humans. It would be better if there were no adult interference at all so that we could further explore the characters with the Mahou Shoujo.
Expectation:
This anime is thrill. Full of corpses, blood, and body pieces. But I didn't feel anything when I saw the thrill scene in this anime. In fact, it seems disgusting and does not cause fear at all like the thrill genre in general. I only hope that at least in the first 3 episodes there was from one of the protagonist's close friends who died miserably, either swallowed by a disas or other pathetic death method. But most people die instead of non-essential figures who have no relationship at all with the protagonist. I really waited for something to happen in episode 3, but what I got was a useless pool scene. There is no action at all in this episode. Some other things like the protagonist who is a mahou shoujo with an open oppai seems very incompatible with mahou shoujo in general which is usually a kawaii loli. What a Kuso Baba anime.
Finally, this anime should be able to emulate how anime action thrill can bring fear to the audience. Like the anime Akame ga Kill or Goblin Slayer.
