The Era of the Viking Pirates Begins, Vinland Saga Will Air in July 2019

A production anime company, Twin Engine, has announced that some of the famous manga series will get an anime adaptation.  One of them is an adaptation from a manga that has a background story about viking pirates, the title is Vinland Saga.  This anime has adapted from an old manga, but in terms of certainty, I believe this anime is not inferior to the anime adaptation of other famous manga.

Tells stories about thousands of years ago, where vikings are said to be the strongest people who thirst for war. Thorfin, one of the sons of the greatest viking fighter ever, has spent much of his childhood on the battlefield. Thorfin had the desire to continue trying to improve his fighting skills to revenge over his father's death.

Vinland Saga anime will be done by Wit Studio.  There are some staff who may be familiar, such as Yabuta Shuuhei (3D Director of Attack on Titan), Takeda Yuusuke (Art Director of Sword Art Online), Hata Shouji (Sound Director of Darling in the FranXX), and also a number of other staff. The Seiyuu who have been confirmed to fill the character's voices in this anime are the characters from Thorfinn (Ishigami Shizuka), Askeladd (Uchida Naoya), Thorkell (Ootsuka Akio), and Canute (Ono Kensho). The opening song will be sung by the band 'Survive Said the Prophet' with the title "Mukanjyo". While the ending song is still unknown.

This viking pirate-themed manga is a manga that authored and drawed by Yukimura Makoto which was originally released in Weekly Shounen Magazine in 2005, before finally being transferred to the Monthly Afternoon Magazine 8 months later.  Currently there are 21 volumes printed by Kodansha, and have sold around 5 million volumes.

Well dude, this anime will be set in the era of viking pirates.  Maybe a little different from the pirates in general that we know. With the end of Attack on Titan anime series, hopefully this anime can also be well received by people out there.
